Exciting Update: GameBackup Plugin Now Comes in Free and Pro Versions!
Dear RPG Maker Community,
We are thrilled to announce some exciting changes to our GameBackup plugin! To better serve your needs and enhance your game development experience, we are introducing a Pro version of the GameBackup plugin alongside the existing free version.
What's New?
1. Two Versions:
- Free Version: Continues to offer essential backup features for your projects.
- Pro Version: Includes all the features of the free version plus powerful new additions.
2. Cloud Backups:The Pro version will introduce Cloud Backups, allowing you to store and access your game backups from anywhere, providing greater flexibility and security.
3. New Features:The Pro version will also come with several new features designed to streamline your workflow and improve your backup management. We are still working out which upcoming features to include in the free version and which should only be a part of the Pro version.
Why the Change?
We have decided to simplify our approach by focusing on a single plugin with two versions rather than creating multiple add-on plugins. This will make it easier for us to maintain and enhance the plugin while ensuring you have access to the latest features and improvements without the need for additional installations.

Hi, just wanted to ask about the possibility to collaborate with this tool? Do you think this provides any benefits for two people to collaborate on RPG Maker files remotely? Or would it mainly provide the backup functionality?
That is an interesting idea for sure and Dropbox does provide a decent revisioning system where it keeps track of all files, kind of like how Git does it. The biggest issue would be ensuring you and the other person are always in sync with eachother, and I think Git would be the best option for that. We haven't done any work on the Git feature as of yet but we are nearly done with the Dropbox backups,.
With that said when we are done with Dropbox we will discuss collobration tools with the main developer and get back to you. The core idea behind this plugin is to make backups consistent and to keep them in a safe location but if a few extra collobration steps are involved, that would certainly be a welcoming feature.
